Whitten Building Envelope Consultants seeks experienced project manager to manage building envelope consulting projects primarily in Central Texas but with projects throughout Texas and the US. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and complete projects from initial investigation phase through design, bidding, construction administration and quality assurance, to final acceptance. Post-secondary education and/or IIBEC RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC certification is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years’ experience providing building envelope consulting services on commercial, public, educational, institutional, industrial and historic facilities; experience performing condition assessment and forensic investigation of building envelope systems; ASTM and AAMA controlled building facade air and water testing, analysis and reporting; non-destructive roof moisture surveys, analysis and reporting; design surveys for roofing and waterproofing repair, replacement and remediation projects; preparing bidding and construction document roofing and waterproofing specifications and drawings for new construction, repair, replacement and remediation projects; performing construction administration and project management during roofing and waterproofing new construction, repair, replacement and remediation projects; peer review of building envelope related design documents prepared by others.

Candidates should be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be willing to submit to client required Texas DPS criminal background check; occasional overnight travel required; bilingual a plus. Ability to perform work from ladders, boom-lifts, high reach equipment, roof levels. Ability to routinely lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull as needed.
